They say that familiarity breeds contempt, and I stand in contempt of this album. I don't think it was, strictly speaking, recorded on a loop--I'm not sure, and I didn't care enough to find out--but all of these sounds are repeated several times during the course of the CD. That's okay when the sounds at issue are incidental, like insect noises, creaky doors, thunder, owls, whatever. It's not okay if it's distinctive speech. I do know one thing, though, because I was told three times: The phrase "You've entered the wrong door--and you're not coming out alive!" is to be answered by a woman's scream, then footsteps. Don't know why, I'm just relaying information. And one other thing I learned: this album thinks farm animals are scary. That wasn't what Joe Rogan meant by "fear of the cock."
