"Sounds of Horror"? I can think of a few. A panicked yell. An unknown person moving toward you in pitch blackness. The voice of Howard Stern's recurring guest Mary Anne from Brooklyn is also an example of a horrifying sound. This album includes no such sounds, and only my desire to be a responsible reviewer kept me from fast-forwarding through these tracks. The first track is eighties-style New Age music set to a bad synthesized beat, and it sets the tone for the entire album. I have to admit that track two has a good beat, but that's all it has. Track three doesn't even have that, but it does include a weak attempt to tie itself to an idea of "horror" via several cracks of thunder. Track four, "Horror Party Rock," is anything but what its title indicates--it's merely background music that would be more appropriate in an eighties arcade game. Track five is more repetitive synthesized nonsense, and it goes on for twelve excruciating minutes. Track six is moooooore ooooooooofffffffffffffffffff theeeeeeeeeeeee saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmeeeeeeeeee. Getting the idea? I bought this at Michaels Arts and Crafts for 50% off, and I still paid too much.
