February 7, 2002: According to The Hollywood Reporter, despite Blair Witch 2's relative lack of success, progress on Blair Witch 3 has begun. Myrick and Sanchez want to make the film, and Artisan is behind their efforts. An autumn 2002 release date has been tossed about, but we'll see.

Early 2000: This is one I'm looking forward to. I'd love to see a more conventionally (that's a description, not a derision) told story about the events leading up to Elly Kedward first becoming the Witch. Kind of a pumped up Crucible (far be it for me to compare BW directly to Miller's classic, mind you). Should be interesting!
