In search of the ultimate horror movie
The movies on this page are rated according to their Chill Factor, which is an index that combines each movie's general rating with their scores in five specific categories: atmosphere, gore, humor, scares, and tension.

This rating system tends to favor horror films--great movies that include a touch of the supernatural, but go light on the horror (like, in my opinion, Return to Me) won't necessarily score as highly as movies that emphasize horror elements.
