A research team heads to South America to investigate the theory that cannibalism does not exist. This is a horror film--how right do you think they are?

This movie was gory, offensive, and quite repulsive. However, that can be a plus in cinema--especially if you're talking about horror films. Unfortunately, Cannibal Ferox, which might have been a horrifying vision of a hostage situation, is also dumb, ineptly written, (and acted, and directed), and, most of all, boring. And I haven't yet mentioned the fact that it features the death of at least one apparently real animal. This is a so-called "classic"? Cheers to Cassandra Petersen for objecting to this vile film.

Despite what the non-believers of good Italian gore say, this movie rocks and still rules. Those that aren't used to gore shouldn't even write reviews. This was a great flick, highly recommended, and a must-have for gore collectors.

Horror is where there are few survivors and those who do survive are left ranting and raving insanities. Cannibal Ferox manages to do just that. The view that this film contains excessive violence is only a matter of opinion that belongs to those who have been sheltered from the gravity of violence for most of their lives. It is foolish to think that horror films should have happy endings--true horror has no happy ending.

A much-berated but incredibly enjoyable film which is a lot more fun to watch than the more infamous Cannibal Holocaust, Cannibal Ferox is unrepentent when it comes to giving you the gore. Castration, dismemeberment, evisceration, and, yes, even some vivisection, Cannibal Ferox delivers in a way few movies have the balls to.
And to those who object to the animal killing: animals are for eating, and getting eaten is what cannibal movies are all about.
