This is one of the nastiest films of all time; In my opinion, it's even nastier than Cannibal Ferox. However, it is not quite as trashy as Lenzi's flick, as it's better-shot and not as cheesy. The actual film is quite enjoyable--but when they start slaughtering animals that you start to get pissed off. The turtle scene is sickening, as are most of the other animal murders. It seems to me at times that Deodato was trying to be as controversial as possible. The Blair Witch Project obviously got some of its inspiration from this nasty film, but people who reckon that Blair Witch was disturbing should never see this film. You just might shit yourself!
