This is a rather slow-moving story, but it's well-acted and has a good atmosphere. In the bad column is the fact that the finale just kinda happens--there's no buildup. However, what I really liked about The Devonsville Terror was its examination of sexism. It implies, and rather well, that mysogyny based in men's sexual guilt was responsible for the deaths of the witches 300 years before--and that not much has changed. What can I say, except--they're right? (Sep 27, 1999) | ||||||
