Details
Jack's Review:
A spendidly done tour of eleven haunted locations across the United States. Although each of its segments is only a few minutes long, Hauntings Across America makes the most of them, weaving interviews and archival accounts into tours of each location. Michael Dorn again provides excellent narration in this creepy and informative documentary. Highly recommended.

Hollywood, CA
The piece on Hollywood covers several places in and around the city. The first is Westwood Memorial Cemetery, where Marilyn Monroe's ghost has been photographed. George Reeves's ghost has been seen at his former home, and Hollymont Castle in Beechwood Canyon has seen much of the paranormal, including poltergeist activity, ghost lights, spontaneous combustion, cold spots, foul odor, and the appearance of a woman's ghost. Perhaps most chilling is the witnessing of Paul Bern's ghost in a home in Benedict Canyon by a woman who immediately saw a vivid and detailed premonition of her own death--Sharon Tate.

San Pedro, CA
Dr. Barry Taff and his crew investigate a private residence. Phenomena they observed included ghost lights and the claimed near-hanging of one of the crew by a poltergeist.

Los Luceros, Alcalde, NM
Los Luceros, a rancho in the nineteenth century that saw the executions of many criminals and the tragic death of a woman, suffers from many phenomena. They include an apparition of "the lady who walks the stairs," a cold spot, poltergeist attacks, persistent details (a floor that cannot be painted in one area), and sourceless noises. An exorcism was performed at one point in the house.

Olathe Naval Air Station, Olathe, KS
Hangar 21 of Olathe Naval Air Station, an air base constructed in 1942, is reportedly haunted by the spirit of a pilot who crashed there on January 3, 1949. People, often guards, claim to have experienced disembodied voices, poltergeist activity, and sourceless noises, apparition of a man

The Myrtles Plantation, St. Francisville, LA
The Myrtles Plantation--the "thirteenth most-haunted" house in America--was built on Indian burial ground. It is now a bed and breakfast that has seen its share of unfortunate happenings, including the ten murders that are rumored to have happened on the grounds. The Myrtles also features many minor architectural details intended to protect its inhabitants from evil spirits. Over the years, guest and staff have reported persistent details (stains that appear on mirrors, even if the glass is replaced), apparitions, and poltergeist activity. There are also several photographs that reveal what appear to be apparitions.

Waverly Mansion, West Point, MS
Waverly Mansion, an old plantation house that was restored in the past thirty years and is now a private residence, is also the home of the "Little girl lost" that has appeared to residents.

USS Constitution, Baltimore, MD
The "last true sailing ship" built for the US Navy, the USS Constitution, is the site of several reported hauntings. One, at least, has been proven to be false.

Downtown YMCA, Cambridge, MA
The Downtown YMCA has a haunted locker room where a teacher once abused his male students. After reports by recent gym patrons of ghost lights and a ghost face, the YMCA held a seance to help the spirit move on.
