Whether you believe in them or not, ghosts are a fascinating subject. The circumstances that lead to a human becoming an apparition are almost without fail interesting, and many of the older, more famous hauntings rise from historical intrigue that is nothing if not fascinating.
Many of the documentaries included in this site are filmed in an accomplished and realistic way that may raise the hair on the back of your neck better than most horror films would. Other docs go behind the scenes of those Hollywood horror films, covering everything from Army of Darkness to The Shining to Virus. In May 2002, I began adding reviews to each page. This is merely an attempt to evaluate the entertainment value of each documentary, and should not be taken as an indication that I take lightly any of the tragedies contained therein. Furthermore, I cannot verify any of the information contained in these documentaries.
