| Synopsis |
|
Elvira, the horror movie host with the unnatural anatomy and supernaturally corny jokes, takes up residence in a Puritanical town, much to the chagrin of the townspeople. All she wants to do is claim her aunt's inheritance, but, horror fans, it ain't gonna be that easy.

Everything you'd expect it to be: an hour and a half of awful, awful puns. Cassandra Petersen (that's Elvira for the great unwashed) provides enough cheescake to feed a town for the holidays, but at least things are even--Elvira has a dumb-as-dirt boytoy to play with. The movie never--ever, ever--takes itself seriously, and in doing so gives the audience a goofily charming film with enough monster movie references to keep any horror fan going. Petersen herself is the key, as she's a wonderfully funny and charismatic presence.
