|
A woman is repeatedly raped and brutalized by an invisible demon, then tries to seek help from professionals--people who cannot believe her.

The Entity is based on a supposedly true story, and if this really happened, the woman has nothing but my sympathies--what she endured was horrible. Unfortunately, the story also renders The Entity a movie that just can't work. Though the film does manage at times to cultivate a sense of fear, it winds up being far too repetitious, and the shock value lessens after each attack. Far too exploitative.
