An excellent film, full of interesting characters and horrific effects. Not a simple slasher or excuse for lots of blood letting, Hellraiser actually has a PLOT! The story is well-paced and keeps going, and the scares come at a good pace. Be warned, though: this isn't for the faint hearted. The gore level is high, when it happens! The four cenobite costumes are excellent, especially their leader, Pinhead. It may be low budget and it may be British, but it's a lot better than many recent horror films and the best of the four in the series. (July 3, 2000) | ||||||
