This is generally considered to be the worst, and is often said to be simply "crap." However, though it is my least favourite I still enjoyed it. The fact is this film is American, Clive Barker had little input and its lost its Gothic feel for even more blood and gore. However, the plot is superior to the second and Doug Bradley gets his biggest role to date as pinhead becomes the main villain, now freed from most of the rules of Hell. Terry Farrell plays an excellent role as the heroine and her Joey Summerskill is a suitable replacement to Kirsty. The New Cenobites aren't that good, and it is a bit to American at times. But in the end it stilll delivers and is excellent entertainment to those who enjoy this kind of horror. Doug Bradley really is brilliant as Pinhead tempts people into following him by promising them there dreams. Epic, if only it had kept its original gothis feel and had better Cenobites it would have been perfect. (July 16, 2000) | ||||||
Follows Hellraiser and Hellbound: Hellraiser II.
Hellraiser III: Hell On Earth was made in America with little involvement of Clive Barker. It starred Terry Farrell, who is better known as Star Trek: Deep Space Nine's Jadzia Dax. --Nyder Adams
Hellraiser: Bloodline is both a prequel and a sequel and details the history of the cube [ . . . ]. --Nyder Adams
Doug Bradley is the only constant in the cast, playing Pinhead through all four films. --Nyder Adams
