Despite its subject matter, which I knew I'd find distasteful, I decided to give The Incubus a try. This was for one reason--its director, John Hough, helmed one of my favorite horror films, The Legend of Hell House. No luck here. Although Hough gives us some nice shots, the plot is too predictable for much of the film (though it does have a nice twist at the end). And its objectionable and mysogynistic subject matter, rendered with a noticable lack of understanding, puts this film right on the border of repugnancy. (Sep 9, 1999/Sep 30, 2000)
