|

A kung-fu vampire movie. Nice marketing move. Though the emphasis in this film is clearly on the fight scenes, which are enjoyably choreographed, and not on the horror elements of the production, our lead actors are left with little to do. (Peter Cusing seems to spend half of the film looking at other guys fighting.) However, Legend does feature a rather more subtle sense of humor than I anticipated. The whole thing kind of falls apart in the big "showdown" at film's end, but it's enjoyable enough along the way. One note: avoid a completely incoherent reediting of this film, called The Seven Brothers Meet Dracula, at all costs.
