Is this a comedy? Is it a horror movie? Sometimes, cross-genre films are the very best--in the hands of the right people, they can be intensely creative. This is just a mess . . . I still have no idea whether the filmmakers' intention was to scare us, gross us out, or make us laugh. Or all three.
