Delightful and heartwarming. In a canon full of family fare, this film is probably the best Muppet production for both children and adults; kids will love the story and the Muppets' antics; adults will as well, but they'll also appreciate some of the more sophisticated humor and the remarkable production design. It's also amazing how perfect the Muppet cast is for this film--every role fits perfectly, from Robin as Tiny Tim to Fozzie the Bear as "Fozziwig." Add a fierce performance by Michael Caine as Scrooge and appearances by Rizzo the Rat and Gonzo as narrators (the latter as Charles Dickens himself), and you have a film that is already, in my mind, a holiday classic.
