Someone is sending author and ex-cop James McGregor obituaries--and ostensibly linking him to kilings related to the obituaries. Even if he can clear his name, McGregor has to figure out where the killer will strike next.

I'll be frank--I'm getting a bit tired of TV-movie-type murder mysteries packaged as horror films. That's kind of harsh when it comes to Postmortem--it wasn't that bad. Charles (yup) Sheen gives a performance that is properly subdued at times, and fits in with the gravity of some of the scenes. On the other hand, director Albert Pyun is far too aggressive in a lot of shots that call for subtlety or at least calm. If I want a Pyun film, I'll leave Postmortem on the shelf and watch the much more stylish--and certainly more fun--Mean Guns instead. (Nov 29, 1999) | ||||||
