This isn't really a horror film--it's more like a teenage murder mystery with nudity--but the title and video box will indicate that it is horror, so here it is. Still, this was a surprisingly entertaining film, at times surprisingly true to what might be termed the "teenage experience." The acting is, by and large, good, the directing is at times interesting, and, I swear, there are a couple of moments that are almost Hitchcockian. The ending goes on for too long, but it's fascinating in the ways young Christie deals with her captors. (Sep 27, 1999) | ||||||
