When three female journalists can't get a room in town, they accept the offer of an odd man to stay with he and his wife. Of course, the women discover that all isn't right in the house . . . and what's that noise coming from the basement?

Dumb, dumb. This film attempts to use the "psycho killer" bit in a new way, but all it winds up doing is giving us a cliched film. The acting is pretty bad, the killings stupid, and the makers, in their quest to put a human face on the killer, forgot to give us a climax. To be fair, there is some doubt as to who is actually the killer, but I think that was just me trying to inject something of interest into this film. (Feb 12, 1999)
